The project was to develop a facility in Oman for the generation of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and exporting to other countries.
Process Risk Consulting were commissioned to conduct a Flare Radiation and Dispersion Study for the flare stacks within the facility using Flaresim to ensure that the radiation to the personnel within the facility boundaries and outside of the fence are within the tolerable limits. As part of the project, Process Risk Consulting also conducted dispersion modelling using DNV PHAST to ensure that the vent stacks are sized appropriately to ensure that the toxic gases do not harm the personnel onsite.
