Immingham Green Energy Terminal Technical Safety Design (RIBA 3)

About The Project

Associated British Ports (ABP) is seeking to construct, operate and maintain the Immingham Green Energy Terminal (IGET) – a new multi-user liquid bulk green energy terminal located on the eastern side of the Port of Immingham. Air Products would be the first customer to use the new facility for the production of green hydrogen.

Scope of Work

Following on from their input during RIBA 2, Process Risk Consulting were commissioned to provide independent Technical Safety Design input into the design of the berth ensuring that the design is in accordance with relevant local and end-user requirements for the RIBA 3 phase of the project.

Process Risk Consulting developed the following deliverables during the RIBA 3 phase of the project:

  • HSE Designer’s Legislation Review
  • HSE Designer’s Management Plan
  • HSE Design Philosophy
  • Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis

In addition to the above, Process Risk Consulting also contributed towards other design developments, workshops (i.e. Human Factors Engineering) and preparing the specification for additional works to be conducted during the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) phase of the project.
