Immingham Green Energy Terminal Technical Safety Design (RIBA 2)

Immingham Green Energy Terminal Technical Safety Design (RIBA 2)

About The Project

Associated British Ports (ABP) is seeking to construct, operate and maintain the Immingham Green Energy Terminal (IGET) – a new multi-user liquid bulk green energy terminal located on the eastern side of the Port of Immingham. Air Products would be the first customer to use the new facility for the production of green hydrogen.

Scope of Work

Process Risk Consulting were commissioned to provide independent Technical Safety Design input into the design of the berth ensuring that the design is in accordance with relevant local and end-user requirements.

In addition to technical safety design services, Process Risk Consulting chaired a combined Hazard Identification (HAZID) workshop with the representation of the berth designers, the berth owners, and the two operators that will be utilising the berth.

Process Risk Consulting were also pivotal to the setting of the Marine Exclusion Zone (MEZ) around the jetty in line with relevant PIANC and local guidances.

Process Risk Consulting are continuing their efforts and supporting the development of the IGET throughout the next phase of the project, RIBA 3.
